anyways- HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

I hope everyone has a great one, a great 2010 ='D
Well, I don't know how some of you guys manage to rememeber what you were doing or even what you drew at a certain time in the year, haha! I'm going to cheat and use my LJ to guide me...as it has a far better memory than me XD
My first gut feeling was that 2009 was a kind of weird one for me because, although I made steps forward in terms of working towards larger goals, I didn't have much physical work to show for it. In actual fact, glancing over my (admittedly sparce these days) Livejournal...I did more work than I realised. I think I'll be dubbing 2009 my stepping stone year...I'm hoping that a lot of the work I did this year will be paving the way for a more financially succesful 2010 ^_~
What I did do a lot of this year were events...but I'm going to focus on artwork in this post rather than the events...but there were many, and they were awesome! I met so many amazing people *hugs*
So - Let's see. This could be a long one:
( The year lies under the cut...lots of piccies^_^ )

Right here.
Today we used up the last of the turkey (barring some lumps fished out of the stock that we'll grind up and use as sandwich spread). Not bad, a day less than last year I believe. It made Christmas day dinner, sandwiches (twice), cold with baked potatoes, a large pie (that lasted two meals), a casserole, and finally cold with chips (I could have made a stir fry, but we were in the middle of watching DVDs). Plus the cat and the elderly tom that rules the area both had some too. Stock and fat enough for a month also. Bargain for £30 from the butcher. ;)

Okay, people can get their rocks ready to throw at me for this but I really liked this film. No idea how accurate it was to the source (all 30 years of it...) and I don't really care as I found it a goodly romp of its own worth. Nice acting, reasonable script, lovely sets, and a Doctor Watson that did more than run around going 'oh Holmes, you are so wonderful!'. Yes there was more action than in the other versions, but it worked by adding a further area of deduction to Holmes's insanity and it also got rid of the bizzare world of the assorted TV versions where toughened murderers were brought down by stern looks. Another big bonus was it not looking like a Guy Richie film, rather it was just a well produced bit of fun that you could imagine watching the sequel of (which is good, as thats what half the plot was setting you up for).
Worth the watch, if your up for a 'romp'

- The BBC Day of the Triffids remake... erm... yeah... What the hell were they thinking? It's not bad as such, just a real daft premise. #
- Checked wiki, it seems faithful to the original. Cool, but times have moved on so the premise is now weak sauce as times change. #
- Rename it "Day of the hyper-evolved man eating tigers as fuel source" & you're close to the levels of stupid needed for the set-up to work #

Hey 24 fans, I know you're currently changing your underpants at the news of a new season (or 'Day', as you would have it) coming along in January and I'm happy for you, I really am. I think it's great that you've got 6 months of TV joy to be all excited about and I hope it's the bestest 'Day' ever. But there is something that I want to politely draw your attention to, all in the name of keep you world even more full of cheer and mine empty of the need to ram your head into a desk.
I want you to imagine that not everyone likes 24 and that not everyone wants to hear about all the time for the next 6 months. We don't want to hear you mulling over the ever detail of the latest episode, no matter how cool the explosion or sintilating the torture, and we don't really care how it all relates back to the previous seasons. We don't have an encyclopdic knowledge of the universe, entertaining though it is, and we don't get the injokes. It's just not our thing, and there is a strong chance that we have some real work to get on with rather than getting the audio version for your highly-excited self.
We especially don't get the ones where you substitue Jack Bauer with Chuck Norris, no matter how many times you say it. If we didn't laugh the first time you say it we are unlikely to laugh the three hundredth and seventy ninth time you drool it out across the office. We just don't care, and we accept that we're wierd for that. No shut up about it already, we honestly have work to be getting on with. Yes, we get that Jack Bauer wouldn't stand for this shit. Move on!

work
Lol. Yeah ok, I could say stuff about work, but Ill pass on the moment. I cba talking about it, been weird.
moneys
Can afford Harleys now. By end of January with some overtime moneys should be safe enough to swap priority over to paying off overdraft before commencing saving again. Nice to have a saving amount now, can reprioritise saving amount to spread it around it a bit instead. Less focused on getting the numbers up and more possiblitiy of random spend and treats etc. of course I say that and then Ill just be like usual and save save save rah. Though I randomly want to buy a 1/6th resident Evil figure 5 figure at the moment and thats about £130. The company I got shares through has been taken over by a new company so Im debating getting my cash back and slinging it back into savings. need to read through the paperwork and see if I have a mimimum period in which I have to invest etc or if I can just bail now. thats been on my to do list for a week or so.

Holy crap. Best special effects ive ever seen. Want to bang Neyitri or hwatever she was called, and eat food off her stomach. Also want to go to Pandora and run about a lot, fly on raptor things. Amusing to read /TV? on 4chan discussing it too. Seems everyone also fancies her and feels bad about doing so. has created some random pandora seperation anxiety when people realise that their lives are empty and they want to experience what jake Sully does in the movie. A new life, acceptance, new envronment, new body etc. rahg
gym
Went back up to 74kg. Could lift silly amounts compared to when I was 69kg. Looked no different for exception of stronger looking chest. Due to random work stress/worry going home for a week, being ill for a week and not taking all sorts of suppliments Ive been taking Im back to 72kg. happier with that as I was still able to lift some of the weights just not full sets. Going to push at it and set new stupid target. lets call it... urmm Operation Pandora Alomar for no good reason and say... hrm... be stronger, less fat or whatever by the second week of Febuary. Tbh who cares. Just be harder faster stronger black kate moss tonight like usual.

To the exclusion of pretty much every thing else Ive been playing Call of Duty Modern warfare 2. Im level 67 atm. Going to try and get 68 this evening and hopefully enter pretiege mode by say.. tuesday. Which should be easy as with the gym having retricted hours over the new year and me working i wont be able to go. I knew that would happen. Stupid additcive personality.
stuff
Fucking HATE riding motorbikes in the snow/ice. Seriously, its horrible fear inducing death madness. that didnt stop me looking at an assortment of motorbikes the other day. Was randomly happy agoin the other day. I mean full on euphoric for no goddamn reason again. Infuriating. Fortuantely i went mopey again in a couple of days so was better able to deal with that.

I got a shiny new red DSi for christmas, amongst other things! It's really fantastic, and I like Flipnote studio quite a lot. I wonder whether I'll ever make anything decent with it. I'm really glad to have a new DS though, and I love the red.
I hope everyone has had a nice christmas! :3

festive
Good food, fine company, tactical thermal undies, Mario Bros Wii, House of the Dead: Overkill, 3 hours of WW2 food saving tips, a brisk walk around a frozen wasteland (No Golf!), and much time chilling. Yup; goodly Christmas Day achieved thanks to hanging out with Laura and her family. Boxing Day is to involve turkey, rampent commercialism, traveling for 3 hours, and then deciding which of our two houses to head off to once it's all done. Viva la holiday!!

(cant find a bigger version of this pic)
Happy Christmas everyone :-)
